I’m in bed this week with the same cooties that have increased earnings for products like Kleenex, NyQuil, and Tylenol during this not-so-fun flu season. So while I recoup in bed, my one enjoyment is bird watching. We have purposely made our backyard a bird friendly environment. Our sweet little sparrows and other small feathered friends seem to be getting a bit out of control. But no need to fear… enter our resident sparrow hawk. It has been having a feast on our bird population and visits us often. The other day it was having a nice bath in our fresh melted snow. I wanted to see how close I could get to this beautiful hawk. I slowly increased my steps.
This is where we have a stare down. I felt like it was piercing straight through my lens.
