friday fashion favorites – brights!

by jani on February 8, 2013

Bright color really does spark up your outfits. It’s so fun to just add a touch of color to an ordinarily dull shade of black or gray. Although I do love black and white together… every now and then a splash of color under these cloudy skies truly does brighten our day!

I’m loving this shade of geranium in the blazer with this Tommy Hilfiger blue checked shirt! Adding a contrasting print in the floral handbag works. You still may need a scarf or knit beanie on these cold days, but this outfit just says, “I can’t wait until spring!”

Are you stepping out of your comfort zone of tees and jeans and going for that splash of bright color or neon? You can begin slowly with just a bright scarf. I’m hoping to become a bit more adventurous with my color and pattern combination… are you?

I’m on Nutri-System and have lost 10 pounds this first month…have a ways to go! But, I’m on my way. Clothes will be fun again once I have lost it all! I like the geranium blazer and the indigo earrings. I love bright colors, anyway. You know that purple dress the lady is wearing who has RA and who runs a hair salon, and is ringing someone up at the end of the commercial. I WANT that dress! :-)

I am fairly new to Pinterest but please follow me as well!

By the way, awful about your poor husband detatched retina and then flying, and having so much pain! Rough!

We are both trying to lose as well. We’re just cutting out all sugar and limiting our amounts. It’s more of a lifestyle change than a diet. Marie, send me the link to your Pinterest. I’d love to follow you! Hope your weekend is great! :)
